JLG Forklift Part - In the late 1960's John L. Grove, with his wife Cora set out on a cross country journey in their RV. Newly retired, after spending several years working with his brother to develop their crane company into an market leader, John had no idea that important trip would permit JLG Industries, Inc to emerge. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling technologies was the end result of a road trip.

Whilst on their journey, John spent time conversing with past business acquaintances whom the Groves stopped to see along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic occurrence-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were going to the Hoover Dam- John uncovered a considerable marketplace for a product that could swiftly and safely lift individuals in the air to accomplish upkeep and other building services.

Following their return from holiday, John set up a partnership with two of his friends and bought a metal fabricating company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Opening with a small crew of twenty employees, they produced and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The company incorporates many of the simple design elements of that original lift into existing versions.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a long way from when Mr. John L. Grove came back from his fatefull cross-country journey and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the marketplace. As of today, the business has extended itself into quite a few international markets and continues to develop new equipment to guarantee that consumers are able to become safer and more efficient within their workplace.
